Time & Temp Privacy Policy

Overview

Your privacy is important to us at Sabon Rai Software (“the company”, “us”, “we”, “our”). This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect from you and your device, how we use it, and to whom we disclose it when you use the Time & Temp application.

Information You Provide

Time & Temp app does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). However, in response to your support request (support@sabonrai.com), we may collect and store information you provide such as email address, crash data, and diagnostic data. We retain this information only long enough to support you and then we delete it.

Information Automatically Collected

This information is automatically collected:

Apple collects and provides us with anonymized application sales and usage statistics. We may use a service such as App Annie to analyze this data.
Time & Temp application collects diagnostic data whenever it detects an error. This data is transmitted to a third-party logging service and is retained for one day. The information can include your location depending on the type of error encountered.
When the app successfully determines your location and fetches and displays your location name, current time, current temperature and weather conditions, none of this information is logged or saved anywhere. Information collected by the app applies only to your current location. None of the data related to previous or current locations is saved. The data is not transmitted to us.

None of the information automatically collected includes your PII. Your location is never associated with any aspect of your PII such as mobile phone number or device identifier.

Your Location

Time & Temp app uses your geographic location to get the current time at your location and to request location name and current temperature and weather conditions. This information is provided by third party services based on your location and is retained on your device only to display it to you. This information is transmitted to us only when there is an error as described above in Information Automatically Collected.

Third Party Services

Time & Temp app uses third party services as described below. These services have their own privacy practices which you may wish to evaluate. If you don't like their policies, you can opt out by not using or deleting the Time & Temp app.

World Weather Online provides current temperature and weather conditions at your location.
Apple provides location services including your location and a location name. The app uses Apple's “significant location change” service which notifies the app when there has been a change in your location of about 500 meters or more.
Amazon Web Services acts as an intermediary between your device and World Weather Online to help anonymize your request.
logz.io records diagostic data that Time & Temp app sends when an error occurs such as a failure to fetch current temperature and weather conditions. This data is retained only one day.

None of the information send to third parties include your PII.

How Information Is Used

We use Information You Provide to provide customer support, diagnose errors, and improve the application. All PII is deleted upon conclusion of a support request. We do not disclose PII outside of Sabon Rai Software.
We use Information Automatically Collected to display your location name, current time, current temperature, and current weather conditions in the application. This data is retained only within the application and only long enough for you to view it. It is not transmitted to us.

Data Location

Data you provide and data automatically collected by Time & Temp app is potentially processed and saved in other countries than where you are located. Data privacy laws can be similar but are not identical among countries and other political entities. Therefore, different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed and saved.

Tracking

We do not track you or your location. Time & Temp app does not track you or your location. Your location is only used to fetch a location name and the current temperature and weather condictions to display in the app.

Opting Out

You may opt out by not using or deleting the Time & Temp app.
